About me

On my daily walks out in nature and down by the seashore, I am constantly captured by the beautiful canvas of the sky, sea, and earth, that literally takes my breath away.  My work is some small attempt to convey to the viewer what I have felt in those moments. I am constantly inspired by the works of artists like Turner, Friedrich, and Rothko.

 

In my own work, I seek to offer a sense of reverence and respect for primeval concepts and feelings relating to meaning, often too deep for expression with only words, and to give the viewer their own opportunity to dialogue with the sublime in what may become a surprising moment of clarity. Perhaps in an experience of ‘otherness’ we may find freedom and hope.
